When I was a kid I became an expert on lizards, pouring over the same three books memorising the Latin names like a nerd.
The Axolotl family always delighted me and I’ve been itching to use an Axolotl type character in a story for years.
The above sketch is more of a skin texture test than a proper character work out, I think I need to add red fronds under his tail.
