Booya! Hols were good. Finally conquered my long standing and perfectly rational fear of swimming in the sea. Managed to ’switch off’ for the first time in a while. Was really happy with this until I realised the book I was reading, Michael Palin’s Diaries 1969-1979,
just filled the void because all he talks about is how many hours work he got done and how he’s not getting enough done etc. So I was just re-routing all my stress through the book! Wank.

What?

This was gas. We went on a trip to the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus and this old couple kept clucking and tuuting about how it’s
all been changed, how it’s all been ruined with development since they were last here. Thinking that they must have been there in the 70’s or something I asked when had they been. The woman says ” Oh it’s all awful!! AWFUL! Here, let me show you, I have photos”. Reaches into her bag and I’m expecting a bound photo album…..but she whips out a camera phone to show me the pic. They were there four years ago. The only difference was an extra umbrella on the beach. Dopes.

Technically. All done and drawn but I still have to lay it out, do the cover, the chapter breaks, travel back in time, defeat Lord Quarzak, get the ruby crystal, shoot the red barell, the list is endless.

Working on three new Twisted Tales too and they are doooooozies. I’m away (and not working on comix) to Sun Destination X from the 10th to the 24th where I will Salsa dance into the night like the big steamer that I am………

Then on September 29th there’s Subcon or SNUBcon as it should be known, look at the flyer, just squeezed in as an after thought. Jew. Should be a laugh though.

Then me, Deckypoo’s, Will and Mooney are heading over to the big con in Birmingham. Check out the lads sites’. Moondog’s one is new so wipe your feet. I can claim complete and total fabricated responsibilty for all three of their careers, thought them how to draw, how to letter, how to make a hash pipe from a carrot….everything. I wish! Three talented dudes. Well, maybe two.

Then the 20th of October, there’s 24 Hour Comic Day which I’m looking forward to. Poster here
