Secret Project: Magic Lantern Window Projection

Friday, December 18th, 2009

All you lucky pups in Dublin will probably have seen those mind boggling windows that have been turned into giant plasma tellies. There’s one on Dame Street currently showing Avatar

And another on Aungier St which features wacky animations by me. I also animated all of Avatar. Just joshin ya! I didn’t animate Avatar, only coddin’ yeh, just pulling your leg! Only having a laugh! ROFL slurp LOL pwned lol _%–!!!

No I made the ‘app’ that holds all the image and the videos, it can be controlled remotely by an iphone and it is the future.

Get your ass to Mars and take a look at them. And you can be a part of it, if you want to advertise or even create a short eye boggling clip for it give those studs in Micromedia a shout.

Spazzmoid and Harry Partridge are great

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Be sure to read this weeks chapter of Say a Prayer

Another video that made me laugh this week. This one’s from Harry Partridge who’s youtube channel is full of good animations.

I still never read or seen Watchmen but I’m aware of the characters. This is great

This is one is spot on too. The Orko/Snarf chap is great.

B roll

This is a good one. I’m glad that most people have a facebook these days so the mailing of links has stopped but this got me. Too specific!

National Geographic air fresheners

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Now THAT’s marketing synergy. Ads for all them perfumes and aftershaves crack me up. Trying to advertise a smell by showing a brooding sissy in black and white is ridiculous so National Geographic scented air fresheners isn’t too abstract I suppose.

Still vewwy silly though.

Rampage scene from The Room

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

I was writing a post about my visit to a brothel last month in Lisbon and I mashed the keyboard and its gone. I’ll do it tomorrow. Here is an amazing video from a shit film that has gained rapid internet fame for being the worst film ever made.

Look at his passionate rampage. He ‘wrote and directed’ this unwatchable mess and seems to think he has the goods and is a tortured artist. But scoff as you may, dopes like this clean up with women. Like every shitty ’singer/songwriter’.

Remote control up the hole

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Real or not, ‘The worlds’s greatest freak out video’ is funny, funny stuff. Some whiz kid isolated a portion that was lost on me the first time around and made a ten minute loop of it.

I think it’s real, nobody could conceive this sort of lunacy.

Fat kid out of it at Download

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

My little bro Ponchorella goes to all these festivals for youngster music such as Download. I presume it’s in the Uk. For me the idea of camping in the cold with thousands of giddy idiots traipsing around looking for the illusive party that doesn’t exist appals me.

He caught one of these specimens on video and put music to it. Look at him gently, lovingly stroke his porcine tum tum as them legal pills pickle his spinal column.

God knows where he got the camera. Get this, I gave him a loan of a new mini DV camera a few years ago, I had it for about 2 months and never really used it, he breaks it. Then I buy a digital still camera, brand new, never even transferred photos from it and it disappears in the vortex after he takes it for a weekend.

All in good in Spain, the sun is back after 2 crusty weeks. I wore trousers for the first time in 5 months last week. And socks, I sort of miss putting on my socks and getting all snuggy and all.

24hour comic day preparation

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

EDIT **what the fuck is wrong with me, 24hr comics day is on the 17th, NOT tomorrow**

Before I go on, you have to see Thompson’s rendition of the Panzer Meister over on Eclectic Micks, man that chap can draw.

The Micks Sketchbook is now available to buy too. We’ll be selling it at the Dublin Comic Con, this November 14-16th I believe, already bought my flights and can’t wait for it.

Uncle Spunk Nugget ends this week. Does anybody even read that shit any more?

So 24 hour comics day is tomorrow, the plan is to start at 12, pick the random title and have it roughed out by 1:30 and finished by midnight. It all comes down to what title I get, if it has ‘robot’ or ‘insect’ in it I’m laughing. But if the mood takes me I’m going for a normal comic with humans and speech balloons, maybe a Bunty type romance comic. I’ll post it all in an issuu reader thing on Sunday or Monday

And finally heres a video from my mate John, the css wizard who is feverishly reconfiguring the clamnuts.com matrix, he runs Mixtape.ie, a great site showcasing new Irish music and live gigs, this is a good one, Fearghal McKee and the Shitty Shit Shits.

Married with children the UK version

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

I’ll write up my thoughts on the bullfight soon, man it was nutty. It rained! Anyway I don’t know why this popped into my head at 4am, sometimes I feel like keeping my laptop beside my bed so I can google all the niggling thoughts I have.

Married with Children is shown over here dubbed and it’s a big hit. This morning I was thinking whether I imagined it or not but it was true, ITV tried to remake it with Russ Abbot and it sucked dick.

Called ‘Married for life’.

Judging by the meagre 170 views on youtube, everybody seems to have forgotten about it. I remember watching this version, having being a fan of it when it first aired in Canada and just recoiling. Awful. Listen to that music.

IRA vs Taliban

Monday, August 17th, 2009

I watched this on Friday and just went to youtube to grab a clip when I saw Charlie Brooker already gave it a good roast. Incidentally I never saw his ‘ You have been watching’ series and what the fuck? It’s like some Chris Evans thing.

IRA vs Taliban is worth a download, I read about it in the Irish Times a few months ago and kept wondering what format it took. The first part of the show is all these CSI like experts using all the weapons on shop mannequins and squabbling about who’s harder. Classic bit where the Michael Collins’ grandson uses a slingshot on a skull and gets a direct hit but then we see that he’s standing about 6ft away from the thing!

They ‘feed all the results into a computer’ programme and it spits out a simulation like so:

IRA wins!!! Nice. I couldn’t see the producers giving it to the Taliban really. Silly silly silly stuff but I watched it all and am downloading the rest of them, greats such as ‘Ninja vs Spartan’.
