This is from 2005. A fairly well established designer went fucking nuts in my old job. It was both hilarious and sad. I’ve never seen somebody spazz out before. She started wailing and thrashing the place.

In fairness they really fucked her over, much the same way I was. Man I worked there for just 2 weeks shy of 2 years and they wouldn’t give me any cash because you need to be employed for 2 years to get any severance pay. I’m still sore about the whole thing, I really admired and respected the boss but then he stabs me repeatedly in the face. I could spill lots of beans about the company and do damage but I’ve never done it. It was like a bad break up.

Well it was actually. This was the job that I lost as I simultaneously lost my house and girlfriend a few years ago. Fun times!

Anyway, the spazzing out in work. I saw another lad in another job just snap before and walk out. I kept his flask.

Sweet Jesus it’s all too much. I’m 30 now and have hit the wall. 24 hours in one day and 6 of those are asleep, 10-11 of them to my day job, 1 of them is to eat, so that’s 24 minus 18 equals 6, wait a minute what am I whinging about? That’s loads of time really. We really are slobs when you think about it, we waste our lives.

There were a few weeks before sending MBLEH 2 to the printers that I was getting up at 5am to draw before work. I just don’t have that drive anymore.

But yeah, I’m so pushed for time recently trying to sort shit out that it feels like I’m getting nowhere. I hate people whinging about how little time they have but I’M different so fuck you. Anyway, rest assured Spazzmoid, the weekly webcomic is on its way and as I write this very sentence there resides a couple of finished pages online somewhere.

I’m getting my Communion video and a tape from ‘92-‘93 “Bob’s clubhouse” convertred on to dvd so I’ll be posting clips of a fat little bollicks with all his Get-along-gang teddies

And the stupid ‘wacky’ carrying on of a 13 year old death metal fiend.

Well, a lot of problems will soon be eradicated with the successful deployment and execution of my PROJECT BENIJAN. Details coming in 2 months.

Hey it worked when I posted about a shit Philips MP3 player I bought. We were stung with the ropiest dinner in Mother Reilly’s Restaurant in Rathmines Dublin on Saturday. It ruined the weekend. Not really but it was crap. Straight from the microwave and measly meat. So avoid Mother Reilly’s Restaurant in Rathmines.

This is a gem. The first panel is by Barry Hughes, the middle one me and the last one Dec. It was done last Thursday at the Comic Jam. Not as gay as it sounds, it really is fun. Heres the site, the pages aren’t up yet but there were some doozies

What a shithead. The dialogue. That witty dialogue. And that gay music. I hate soundtracks. Quirky. I’d rather hear the death rattle of my only child.*

The words ‘quirky’ and ‘zany’. I had a design job where the boss would want everything to be ‘Fresh and Funky’. I would respond with playing Call of Duty for an hour. He was a plank. A classic example is how one day I had a blue box designed and he said he wanted it more ‘regal’. I took the print out back, dossed online for an hour and then ran in with the same print out and he exclaims ‘”Now THATS a regal blue”.

I’m by no means a comic expert but my favourite rendition of Wolverine was that Deathblow and Wolverine team up, he’s drawn as a tiny little block with a big mongo brow and nostrils. I always imagined him like that.

I found this yesterday on a cd from 3 years ago. The file name was ‘Chonko’ and I genuinely don’t remember doing it. But it made me laugh.

He looks like a scanger version of the Poddington Peas.

I presume it was when I just bought Painter because it’s a penciled page scanned in underneath.

Found these old designs from around 7 years ago. SEVEN fucking years ago! Wowzers. Time certainly flies when you having fun. Having fun or in the throes of crippling depression, one or the other, s’all good.

These were all done in Corel Photopaint. An outdated but great photo editing thing.

Drew that for a free gay magazine around 50 years ago. I drew a series of them and this one is the only really funny one. I got a bit of kudos in the gay community for them but not enough to secure that much coveted reacharound from Gay Donal and his Fantastic Bum Patrol. Ah well.
