TMNT speed doodle
Hewwo pals! Got a free screen capture thing and here’s my first recording. It’s a warm up sketch of my all time favourites. It’s a lifelong dream of mine to do a Turtles comic, that and to take over Spy Vs Spy when Pete Kuper dies. Hey, it was lifelong dream to get into 2000AD and be able to rip a phone book in half and I bagged them so who knows? Listen to me boasting! I have to smear vaseline on my monitor to squeeze my inflated ego in these days.

That’s good stuff from Drastic Kyle! Really liked it. Dec the next logical step is a computer controlled piece of paper that draws on your skin or something.
Raph vs Leo: First of all I based my love on the toy, of all the weapons the katanas looked the best. We lived in Canada at the time and we saw the toys before the cartoon. Then in the first few episodes of the cartoon there was loads of good action of him slicing up robots. Character wise I always wanted to slap Raph the phoney rebel that he is. Read the comics, Leo is the best scrapper. Though the Raph and Casey Jones stories were deadly. Fuck it, all the turtles are great.
Except Don. Now HE’S gay.

I must admit I mostly based my opinion on the original cartoon in the 80s, and while they were all kind of gay back then the newer stuff I’ve seen has Leo being uber-gay from his dedication to being the best ninja ever, or something. That said, I should probably check out the original comics to see what Raph was like but, you know, laziness prevails and all that.
Incidentally Mr Byrne, dunno if you’ve looked at my stuff lately but I’m doing a short run of superhero pisstakes and would value your opinion on them…

Mikey was a good character in the cartoon, I think he was meant to be the one that kids could relate to but then they brought in Zack ‘the 5th Turtle’. I envied that brat so much. Mike’s pizza thing was a big influence on me though. From 1999-2001 all I ever ate was pizzas and Maltana. Seriously

Ahhhhhhh turtles!!!!!!! such an obession of mine - my goal is to be an animator on the new show - I had a style test with them and everything but then my visa ran out WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
And I hope when you talk about Peter Kuper dieing you mean of natural causes years and years from now [sorry gotta stick up for Peter as he's a friend and my former teacher and boss :P] Ever think about submitting something to world war three illustrated?

Is ww3 still going? Will definitely give it a go. I read all the ones you had that day and it’s deadly. I’ve been in an anthology with Kuper, some Macedonian thing. It just came through my letterbox a few years ago, never submitted them anything but they ran 3 or 4 pages somehow

Colly what’s this about an original cell? Never got it or dont remember the offer. I know a few lads who worked on it and they looked at me like i farted in their faces when I asked did they keep any original art.
