Yeah you'll notice how frustrated you get if you keep erasing and trying to fix it, so I now just start fresh and it really works. That's an age old problem; when you just can't reproduce the magic on a second drawing. I suppose it comes down to well you can interpret your own designs......and know when it was just a fluke!

All day yesterday I was trying to re-draw a character from a fast thumbnail and it just looked crap without the carefree loose lines. So I just traced over the thumbnail

This guy says:
“ If you’re working on something and you can’t get it right, just leave it and start again, don’t try refine something you’re not happy with”.

How does this work?
When I'm drawin' its like sculpture. I must refine until it works for me.
If i try to redraw something, it never turns out right. Do you ever draw a one of a kind character that you just can't seem to reproduce?
P.S.
Awesome comix!
