Hewwo?
Mad busy, last week in work and loads of other messy crap has popped up. Thanks to everyone who stopped to yap at the convention on Saturday, nice to meet you all. This is the first go at using Wordpress so excpect all manner of wrong stuff happening. It’s like a new pair of runners, I’ll have run in the grass and kick stones to scuff them up before I feel comfortable. I have no idea what all them little symbols are down the bottom.
Here’s a new comic I done yesterday as part of another Beano submission. And you KNOW it’ll appear in a Shiznit if they don’t want it.

I don’t know what half those little symbols are either, but they are generally for things like digg and del.icio.us so people can easily add your blog posts to link share type sites…
I’m not sure about them, but others swear by them so I thought it would be worth a try!

Yeah I’m sure its the way to go boss. Nah I meant I people have to ’submit’ and I have to approve comments but I know this can be disabled. Thanks

Nice strip, boss. Looks very polished. I see you’ve left out a lot of the hatching and shit. I likeses it. Colours look (flaps wrist) ‘fabulous’. Had a good auld look at yer Freak Show book too, the sound effects and crap looks top notch. My favourite bit are still those black and white character pieces tho……

Yeah i get’cha. Makes much more sense. I preferred the image anyway. I see where Rob was comin from, but what you really want in a cover is elements from the story, not a pin up. Ah, such is the way it goes. Still looks great tho, fair play.
Would have looked better with a Shalvey cover tho, eh, eh?

Freak Show looked great! Very moody and atmospheric. I don’t think you have any problem drawing “real people” (your words) and I’m looking forward to the rest of the issues.
Yer man Curley must have a sweet deal with his publisher as the paper it’s printed on is sooo soft and shiny, top quality, really brought the colours to life. I’m touching it right now…ooooh…yeah.

When you say “another” submission to the Beano, d’you mean your stuff was already printed in it, or its another unused idea they rejected?

Bob sez: Nah, was never in the Beano but I submitted around 3 years ago. I done some new stuff and fixed up old stuff for another try. I loved that comic when I was a kid
