Ah it went completely gay in the end.The whole red dust thing with all the hot air balloons was a cop out. The directors commentary on the dvd answered loads of questions for me though. Like was there ever toys produced? There was a scene in an early episode where a kid played with a Visitor figure and Shuttlecraft and it drove me mad that they never appeared in the shops, turns out they were just prototype models for the full scale space craft.

V was class - just one note from the intro and that red v on screen and you knew you had broke through the watershed into ‘real teevee’ with blood and explosions and nipples, remember dianas lippy blonde assistant? Dirty bitch. There was a class bit where diana slapped her with a nice put down and then went to a cage and bit the head off a budgie the way a cowboy would gollier into the spitoon.

It turned into dynasty in the end though when they all got settled down and were living with each other and the rebels were fighting the rebels.

Hey boyz! Whew, yeah Cian I’ve written a 2 page comic about that terrible time in the 80’s when you weren’t allowed to see stuff but had to pretend that you did. Mine was Robocop. I had pieced the whole thing together from hearing other kids and then I’d make fun of the dopes who hadn’t seen it.

Yeah Lorcs, the lizard baby was mad!! I just remember the whole room recoiling in one big gasp when it popped out. It was still cute though. Yes Stewbie, the StarChild was played by that little kid out of Poltergeist and my all time 80’s fav Troll.

Bonzo you’re right. Evil=sexy. Rose West. Thanks for the dvds bro, really appreciated.
