Peanut Butter Jelly Time
Here are some new doodles. Man I was buying a Wacom Cintiq yesterday, filled out the whole thing, ready to pay 1200 Euro with paypal but at the final step it wouldn’t let me pay because my account is frozen until I provide anti-laundering info. Yes, I have that much cash in my paypal. No, when you hit over 1000 clams in payments you have to validate your account.
So I didn’t order the Cintiq. And I was thinking about it all night. Should I or shouldn’t I? They are brilliant but I have no room for it on my desk. I don’t know, maybe I’ll do it later. Look at it:

I was just going for the 12wx ‘portable’ one. Yeah…I might go over to the states and bring one back. Never thought of that. You just buying one in a shop or getting it delivered somewhere?

I’m staying in new york for the summer so will check to see if CAVA or the apple store have them [and might get a sneaky student discount via CAVA] or else order from the site.

What’s the second pic of the boy for? Looks familiar…
Does the cintiq double as a second screen?

the cintiq is a wacom tablet where your computer screen appears on the tablet so its like drawing directly onto it.

Yeah you can set to be just a monitor if you want but of course that would be a criminal waste. That weird little boy may be used for something when I go all arty and submit stuff to US publishers.
the plan to go to the States next month on a Cintiq smuggling mission is growing. Is there some thing that you can’t bring back electronics without declaring them? I heard somebody saying that about bringing a new laptop back, that they were stung by customs. Anybody know?

I brought my apple powebook with wacom table and scanner back no prob. Just chuck the box, put it in a carry case [I assume your still looking at the sketch so it will fit any latop case] and carry it on the plane.
Come to new york I’ll be there from the 24th of may till mid august!

Deadly. I may just do that. Go over for a weekend. God Bless the weak dollah!

Curse you Byrne, now I’m going to end up spending several hundred quid on a new Wacom. (Tho not the 1200 quid one, that’s beyond even my ability to justify gadget-buying. Plus I should really learn to draw before spending money on drawing tools…)
What’s the craic with the Eclectic Micks thing, anyway? Any idea of a release date yet?

Man the Wacom Bamboo is retailing for 90clams and I use it in work all day, great little tablet. You’re drawing will actually improve if you use it all the time because you can experiment and just delete your crapness. It beats having tons of crumpled up pages around you.
Yep, I’m going to the States next month to buy one, it’ll sort of cost more but I get to pig out in New York.
Eclectic Micks…..don’t know, the lads are all so busy being famous that it’s sort of stalled. I’ll do one tonight.
