Spacesuit implosion and Oz
Bloaw!! Just finishing up another Twisted Tales this week. It’s a good old fashioned monster vs astronauts on a space station thing. There’s a couple of implosion scenes. I presume if you’re in a space suit and it gets cracked or breached all your guts get sucked out through the hole? Is that even true? It was fun to draw though. I might even give it a second go, I wanted to show the pelvis bone coming out through the fingers.
With the Cintiq acting as a second screen now I watch things on my big monitor when I draw, not all the time but a few hours a week. I don’t have a television so it’s all downloads, been watching OZ back to back and it’s deadly. Some sloppy writing in the first few but it really gets strong fast. But I have to say that the theme tune and opening credits are AWFUL, you’d turn it off if wasn’t for the quick glimpse of a bum rape. Same with The Wire and The Sopranos too, the opening music is fantastically shit

o my god OZ is the greatest show - mainly cus Christopher Miloni gets naked in it…alot but its got other good bits……..hmmmmmm naked christopher miloni. The opening is shit and I usually always skip it - the guys getting tattooed during the opening credits is the creator of the show, he really got tattooed and he mentions it every chance he can get….bloody annoying.
The Wire I actually like the opening credits mainly for the different versions of the theme song used in each season.

Thats exactly why I like it too. That Miloni guy sure is something. Is he one of the Italians? I’m only on the second series so dont ruin it on me
Haven’t managed to get past the first season of The Wire yet. Charlie Brooker loves it so I was willing to give it a go

He plays Chris Keller who joins the cast in the second season [he's also the main detective on Law and order SVU] Him and Ryan O’Reily are just the two coolest guys on that show.
I adore the Wire thou the second season is the weakest. They have the same theme song each season but its a different muscian and a different style for each season. Did you ever watch Homicide life on the streets as its considered by many as the unoffical follow up to that.
On a total none tv moment and very self indulgent - I’m going to Japan for 10 days to draw comics all expenses paid - just found out, super super excited!!!!!!

You prick! Well done. Tell ‘em all about Amperduke.
Ah yeah I know who you’re talking about now, he’s lovely. I wouldn’t mind “raping”…..his ……”arse” in ………”prison”. What the fuck am I talking about?

In one of the seasons there’s a female prisoner too so if you get tired of penises and mens bottoms you’ll also get to see some refreshingly hairy vagina, which is nice for a change.

Shit, got completely sidetracked talking about genitalia…
liking the action sequences in the astronaut panels…

Yeah the female prisoner is in it now but I’ll never tire of bums and willys.

You and me both. Though, to try hairy vagina now and then helps you really appreciate the willies.
Great panels Bob. The second one reminds me of Johann Krauss, except instead of his spirit leaving his gloves, it’s entrails.
I used to stay up really late to watch Oz when i was younger. My favourite scene is when the cross dresser lets one of the Nazis do him in order for protection, but to make matters even worse, when the Nazi ‘finishes’ he punches him right in the ribs. I remember thinking “HEY, now that’s going too far!”
Stick with the Wire man. I didn’t like the theme at all, then i got used to it and really liked it, then they changed it in the next season, then i’d go ‘i prefered it last year’, til i eventually prefered the newer one. The 3rd season theme is my fav. Homicide, Life on the Street is great, but its still a cop show. The Wire is more than that. It actually made be feel bad for your average junkie/scumbag we have over here.
Dec.

I love the way Dec had to stay up late, man they showed it at 11!! My favourite bit in OZ so far was when the Hispanic leader gets into a scrap with all these Putties and then at last moment summons the Dragon Zord. And then he tugs off the Dragon Zord. And all his cum is electric. And he zaps the warden and Egon crosses the streams and the end.

Ha! I laughed out loud there man - crossing the streams. Your the funniest cam hogging bollix i know. Remember staying up late man that was the best. Before punctuality and that. The shield is the best show on television.

Yeah Winston out of Ghostbusters is the warden. The Shield is next on my list. Then every episode of Grange Hill.
Staying up late, when V was on my degenerate parents would let us stay up and I remember being knackered in school and thinking ‘How do adults do it??’ But it must have only been 11ish by the time it ended

Hey! I was watchin’ it on channel 4 and they showed it around 1 or 2 in the morning! Jerk.
September 4th, 2008 at 7:23 am
channel 4? piff, we had it on TG4. I remember how I discovered Oz - flicking through channels and I turned it on right in the middle of a season 4 ep where keller and…..well I won’t spoil it but needless to say it involved hairy man love and a broken neck I was convinced my tv was picking up some hardcore gay channel until the ads came on and they were in Irish.
Television without pity use to do great reviews of Oz where they’d measure the body count, the full frontal shots and the amount of bodily fluids in each ep.
And Bob when have I not whored myself out for Mr. Amperduke? - it should go down well in Japan as its silent thou might need to print a backwards copy to make it easier to read.

There’s only been one gay rape so far and I’ve watched 12 eps. I expected and demand more.
Fair play love. Enjoy
