Newperduke

Been working on Amperduke for a couple of days, fixing and adding bits. There are loads of bits that just didn’t flow right so oversized panels are needed. Check out the difference in the quality of these; the single frame versions are about 2 and a half years ago and then the new stuff I done I done this week.

Some of the older versions are hilariously bad! I might show them to the world years after the book is finished because they’d make look like the hack that I am. Still, it just shows how your sensibilities and skills grow over the years. I think most artists have a 3 month window for their work where everthing outside of that looks shit to them because (you hope) you’re getting better.

Yeah, I look back at some of my art from 3 or so years back, and its utter shite.
Amperduke’s looking brill, can’t wait for its release.

Saw nothing wrong with the originals back in the yada yada, but the new ones are a huge improvement. No dooubt they’ll lep from the same size frame setup. The shading adds a lot. Nice tommy gun - Saw a doc on the mp44 recently, now i know why you loved it. Poor Germs just never had enough of them bless em.

ah yeah the mp44, a true wonder weapon but Hitler being the fucknut gave all them all to new unblooded divisions instead of the pro’s.

Nice one Tropy, the best is yet to come. Hardcore carnage

I love the older drawings!(not saying the new ones arent good but…)

Anyone remember Nick Abadziz’ Hugo Tate from Deadline all those years ago?

The first strip was literally scribbly stickmen but by the end of the saga he had lush backgrounds and (almost) realsitic looking people.

I loved the way he kept Hugos face in the stickman style though.

Looking forward to the Amperduke book.

Hope you get a gaff sorted soon Bob

  5. Bob Byrne Says:

Yeah I have a few issues of Deadline and remember that Hugo story. It’s the best way to learn, being in over your head.

    Gaff….yeah me too!

  6. Kyle Says:

wow, the originals were already good but the new ones are great! Keep up the good work matey.

  7. Bob Byrne Says:

yeah see? Everyone was happy with the originals so it’s really only for me. Mine! All mine.

Looks like someones turning into an ‘artiste’ and going WIDESCREEN with all their panels. Look great tho. Didn’t like that small panel with the soldier shooting anyway. Not that i like the other that much…………….
