Seamus Brennan RIP
Being woefully out of touch with the modern world, it takes me a while to hear about things. Seamus Brennan passed away a few weeks ago and I only heard about it now. I know nothing about his politics but I was always eager to see him on telly. He was tiny. I remember he was on Prime Time and his legs were dangling off the side of the chair like a 6 year old. I drew a comic about him.
I made him cry according to this article.

Again, I had no grudge against him. Everybody thinks I just hate every public figure and it’s not true, I like Pat Kenny,Gay Byrne and Dave Fanning. Compared to tools like Hector and every lame presenter on Irish television they deserve their accolades. Joe Duffy and Paddy O Gorman are still fucking clowns of the highest order though.

Yeah he’s shit on the telly and painfully robotic on the Toy Show but I used to listen to him on the radio and he was good. I KNOW he’s a tool but I’d never do a comic about him, it’s too easy. Although I did draw his severed head in issue 2 of The Shiznit. I know Mongrel named him the biggest cunt of the year before but I think it was just too easy, Bono and Gavan Friday weren’t even mentioned.

liam lawlor was an awful bollocks and a crook,but Brennan wasn`t the worst.I wish Bertie would fuck off and die somewhere,even if he`s no longer Taoiseach.he`s still a shit.
I can see how you like ol` Gaybo but how can anyone possibly stand Dave Fannyhead?
And don`t get me started on joe duffffay.He grew up in the same place as my ma and he said about a year ago that “you couldn`t go to the local chipper without being robbed” on the radio ,and my ma threw a fit as the place was as friendly and boring a kip as you can imagine back then and he was trying to make it sound as though it was a fecking crime hotspot to get sympathy or something.Feck him.

Liam Lawlor was a prick alright. Dave Fanning is the only decent radio talent this country has produced, he’s also been kind to me and Irish comics in general. I was on his show reviewing albums before but I fucked it up by saying something was gay. I believe it was a ‘Feeder’ single
Joe Duffy is a complete cock. I must finish my Joe Duffy Soundboard thing, I’ve cut up his voice and will make a little flash thing to play them all back. He’s awful. Awful

Liking pat kenny is a brave move, second only to publicly admitting it….while we’re talking about the likes of Dave Fanning, what’s yer opinion (if any) on Cormac Battle, yer man out of Kerbdog and Wilt? (He does or at least he used to do a show on Phantom, I think)

Cormac Battle, I like him. Used to listen to him when Phantom was good. Yeah Mooney, Pat Kenny is the bomb. I like Larry Gogan too. They are what they are, professional broadcasters with no other personality. I don’t listen to the radio anymore, just Howard Stern, 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. Now THAT’s radio

I`m always listening to the radio at about 1 a.m each night because there`s nothing on the telly and I can only really work at night for some reason.long story short there`s an awful lot of shit on the airwaves.
the only show I really enjoy is Sean Moncrief and maybe one of the shows that play folk and blues and shit at stupid times of night…
My only problem with Fanning is that smug stupid accent he has.
Though it`s not as bad as Miriam O` Callaghan`s feckin silly American accent where every sentence ends like a question.
