The greatest comic ever
Have to re-do this now that I’m better at drawing. Made this when I was 19ish and it was a struggle. A struggle. Jaysis they were dark days. Didn’t even own a computer so I’d visit my Da and use his in dribs and drabs, then it was coloured arseways in Corel PhotoPaint.
Ah well, it’s the only way to learn innit.

Bobcon is what Cliodhna & I decided Bob should organise as the launch party for Mister Amperduke. Beyond that, who knows? About the only thing you could say for certain about a Bob Byrne organised BobCon is that there’d be loads of porn there…

BobCon….it’d be ClamKon if anything. And it’s not anything. Have thought about booking a room somewhere to lecture everyone why comics deserve all the bad press they get and how they really are gay. But neh, whatever.
Yeah I really love this comic. It’s an old joke that I heard when I was 10 and it’s just stuck with me as a great visual. That creepy inspector panel was a sheer fluke by the way. I drew on a page that had drawings on the back and just went over some of the lines. WASHING MACHINE!

Dude, BobCon would be sweet! (You can call it ClamKon if you like, but we’ll all just call it BobCon anyway) Just think, you could make money, have an excuse to have a load of flarn everywhere, AND talk about why comics are gay. Where’s the downside? TELL ME WHERE!

On that note though, what would you consider to be the hallmarks of bad writing? (And who would be particular offenders in the Bad Writer stakes?)

word on the new cintiq is that its going to be priced $995 in the states - which makes it around 670euros but its being priced around 1200euros for here. I think I might wait till june and buy it states side.

Your onto something here bob - you’ve people mildly desperate to hear what you have to say. You should do it - or at least do a post about why the industry is underexploited, and the bad writers, complacent fans, its the typical hollywood conundrum non?

Ah I dont know any names of the writers. Just that everyone harks back to the golden age of Silent Cinema but nobody makes silent films anymore. Lame comics with speech balloons duplicating what the artist is already drawing are just painful. I enjoyed some of the Civil war, have no idea what Infinite Crisis is though. And thats what makes me special. I know nothing about comics so I’m outsider looking in BUT I’M FUCKING DEADLY AT MAKING THEM.
Will the US version of that tablet work over here?

Funny,yes indeed,you’ve inspired me to start my own comic,but i hav’nt a fuckin bulls notion how to get started.Id be grateful if you could send me some info on how to get started(im fairly good at comic art and have a mate who’s a shit hot writer)money,equipment,money and shite.again i am a self starting virgin.
