Frank is changing this site over to Wordpress so all the archives will soon vanish and I'll reload all the goodies manually. Wordpress is way better than the cranky little twit Blogger which I currently use. Blogger is the thick kid that smells and Wordpress is the smart Asian lad up the top of the class.

I use a Wacom tablet to draw alot of stuff these days, the Wacom Cintiq is the Holy Grail of tablets but it's around 2000Euro. Here it is:


Was on the ImagineFx site during the week and found a link to this dude who made his own Cintiq. And here it is. Cost him £80 to make.

Years and years ago, possibly 1999 I was at a party and standing in a kitchen in Rathfarnham while this lad was telling me about how a girl he was sharing a house with had an abortion. I didn't really beleive it at the time but he said she was given a little plastic fetus by the 'counselling service' to try guilt her. I asked someone else and they too had seen a little plastic fetus.

I decided I must have one to add to by bogey toy collection and while I thought it was funny ( I kept thinking of the little Made in China on it) I knew it was a sick thing to give a confused, vulnerable girl. The ever and increasingly brilliant sex.ie covers it and also has a two part audio documentary about abortion in Ireland, second part is a bit weak but still essential listening. This country is fucked!This isn't the place to debate abortion but just as a reminder of how although we like to think of ourselves as a modern and enlightened we are still living in a Catholic state.

Was on YouTube looking for a clip of the absolutely crap and laughable new title graphics for RTE news. Have you seen it? It's like Newsround with a kicking dance track that keeps going as they read the headlines. The newsreader have laptops on front of them and the background is a queasy blur. The laptops are a terrible touch, a desperate bit of set dressing to show how up to date we are. We'll see Brian Dobson throwing gang signs next while mashin up a Das Efx track.

Sharon Ni Bheolain is still deadly though.

Anyway, found this clip of the Shell protests. Heavy handed Garda aren't usually funny but stick with it till the end and watch them throw the lad over the rail thing. Funny in any language. The protesters were blocking a road and a few dozen commuters needed to get to work. Both parties acted immaturely.
