Documenting US soldiers funerals

This is amazing.

A beautiful and touching collection of photos of American soldiers' funerals narrated by the photographer, Paul Fusco. The whole ban on images of dead US troops, funerals and body bags
is absolutely sickening and just another terrible facet of this illegal invasion and occupation.

On frame number 24 Fusco talks of how the families never objected to his prescence. To me this says it all. The message he repeats is 'no glory'. He says in #31 how the families cringe when given the flag, "Given a rag...for their husbands life"

Go watch it. It's made me think again about trawling the net for porn when stuff like this is out there.Theres also a deadly essay called Ghost Town about Hurricane Katrina, highlights include 11 where Sean Penn has a gun and 15. The whole thing drives home the horrible absurbity of the situation; white soldiers talking to the black dudes like they're both from different countries and troops pointing out good photo ops of 3 day old corpses instead of removing them.

William Burroughs sold me a fokkin' pizza.

Ah yes, bored graphic designers. Check this out, William Burroughs has been co-opted by Godfather Pizza. I knew I recognized the logo from somewhere. I used to think I was a Burroughs fan. After reading two biographies then a couple of his early books then a few of the later ones I deduced that I liked reading about his fucked up life more than his annoying cut up story crap.

Being a frequently bored graphic designer myself, I've hidden images and weird things in jobs but you'll have to wait a while before I post them here.Yes, I'm a pussy.

Call of Duty Hurts my feelings

Playing Call of Duty Multiplayer online for the first time lastnight against a bunch of strangers. Got whipped. I reckon a fair chunk of it has to be down to them knowing the maps but it made me so fuckin angry. The fact that they're real people as opposed to computer generated enemies really makes it worse, I'm not even going to consider putting on my big nerdy headphones that allows you to talk to them until I know what I'm doing.

Should have been working on issue 2 of The Shiznit. Issue 2 of MBLEH was completely abandoned for 5 weeks when I got my hands on Medal of Honour on the PS2. I have it bad when it comes to games and now that I have the opportunity to play COD online I fear what it's going to do my comic career. I had to take Shareaza off the pc because I was constantly fiddling with it and I avoided getting COD for ages because I knew what'd happen. Right now, when normally
my mind is laying out the comic production plan for tonight, I'm reliving headshot after headshot instead. One dude kept killing me with a handgun! It doesn't get any worse than that

I'm determined to rejoin the same crowd of bastards that smoked me repeatedly lastnight and murder them, I can remember all their stupid names which I'm not typing lest they google themselves but they're all on one of my many shit lists.
Can't wait to get home and get killed repeatedly by some 8 year old brat from Texas.
