I'm out of touch these days. Only found about this at 8am this morn.

Thankfully the organisers, Micromedia are cool and are letting me attend and hand out The Shiznit to the kids. "The kids" what am I like? I had originally planned to stay in all weekend and lash comics out as I have some weird mix of severe Hayfever and ebola but I'll be there. Like comics in Ireland, skateboarding has been pissed on repeatedly and completely ignored when the cash is being handed out. A big stumbling block is the poxy price of insurance in ireland, it's ridiculously high but what's so frustrating is that I can't see any skater ever claiming against a skatepark if they split their head open so why do they need it?

I used to be into skateboarding, completely shit at it though. An ollie up onto a 2 inch high path was as good as it got for me. It's mad, the house where I live now is around 10 meters away from where the biggest ramp in Tallaght used to be. I have great memories hanging around there as a nipper and I see the exact spot every day. But when I see lads hanging around in groups in the same spot now it scares me. I hate teenagers.

Heh, some comic 'news'; Batwoman is now a lesbian. 'So what?', I hear you say and to be honest I couldn't give a fuck too BUT Clamnuts regular and the only person I know who's managed to squeeze a PhD out of comics, Mr Lorcan Mc Grane was on Woman's Hour discussing Batwoman last week.

Fair play to him the chancer. Listen to the part where he's talking about the difference between men's super powers and womens. 'Wolverine's claws pop out, Cyclops shoots bursts of energy from his (japs) eyes, Spidey shoots webfluid all over the place' I really thought he was going to go down the whole Freudian sexual imagery path but he steered clear just at the last moment. And don't tell me he didn't bang one off when he got home about what could of been with his co-speaker.

Loads of real work to do this week in the day job (this site is only updated on work time) so here's a tiny post. Big fan of WW2 posters and I found this one yesterday, never seen it before and it cracked me up. A bloke told me yesterday that to increase my readership I have to pick a theme and stick to it ie. comics and stop posting stuff not exactly related. We'll see, I'll give it a try next week.Truth is I don't really care about comics or find talking about them boring.

Disturbing Yes? With the realistic corny graphics and music you're lead up a certain familiar UTV programming shit strewn path. The whole Russian aspect also lends weight, them ninnies are known for bad quality television and packing gats on a Sunday. The somber 1975-1995 bit of the dude who was just smoked just sealed it for me. I watched it several times. I first thought it sussy that he could pull out a pistol and fire straight away without releasing a safety and cocking it but the edit jumps before he pulls the trigger so the priming could have been excluded from the film. It had me convinced me long enough though and for that it gets top marks. There are so many mediocre 'viral' clips in my inbox these days that it's a chore to open them all, I'm such a whinger: "a chore"
