I'm outta here

Seeya later suckers. I'm off for 2 weeks, one week of drawing and one of acting the prick in Amsterclam. When I say 'acting the prick' I mean getting stoned on the first day, becoming paranoid and hiding in my room for the duration of the trip. Again.

Hopefully hopefully hopefully getting hooked up online at home next Tuesday so I can check my mails but if not, that's why I'm not responding. Or I don't like you, one or the other.

As mentioned earlier today, buy my book.

Peas out, one love, eat a dick.

Forget comics, BUY MY BOOK!

If you're a kid or parent and have found this site please be aware that the majority of the content isn't suitable for minors. Probably not suitable for most adults too so be warned.

Hey hey hey kiddo's, my new book, Robot's Don't Cry, is out and it's brilliant. That little warning above, I mean it, I'd hate for some kid to stumble upon this site and get weirded out. Saying that though, if kids are being allowed to surf unsupervised then this site is low on the list of trauma inducing resources. Hey, Hunt Emerson is drawing for the Beano so that sort of puts it in perspective for me.

The book, my first story aimed at younger readers follows a cute little robot called Bimbot as he's thrown out of the treehouse by his friends because he's the youngest and he cries. He gets
lost in the Dark Woods on the way home and meets a bunch of misfit animals like the bee without stripes and the skunk without a smell. Great revenge ending and moral. Just buy it, only 5.95.

I'm really happy with it. I added a comic art touch to it and have speedlines and speech bubbles
in it. I had planned on making all the dialogue in speech bubs but it didn't work out, the publishers reminded me of how young kids read and it was a real eye-opener. Young readers can't handle things like 'Yeah' and true enough I couldn't get my head around 'Whoa!' whenever it appeared in my weekly Buster.

I'm working on a few other things for children now, don't expect to be JK Rollin' in it but it's a refreshing change from comics. Had to work that JK Rollin gag in somehow, sorry.

So again, buy my book. It's available in all bookshops and what a stocking filler/conversation piece/conversation stocking. I'll be vewwwy upset if you don't.

More Dodgy Toys

More gems from the vaults. They're all up on Flickr with enlargements too. Man I'm letting some terrible farts today, have a feeling I ate my annual allowance of oven cleaner yesterday with Hayley's rushed dinner. It's great, no internet at home means she can't read this site. Your cooking is shit, bitch. Just joshin' ya. (bitch)

PowerMan aka Spidey. Great if incongruos artwork. A flying taxi piloted by a crocodille naturally. The mask is made from the flimsiest plastic in the history of tat. The figure is made from that hollow molded plastic with the huge seam on the sides.

Spawn was huge in the late 90's. The toys seemed to draw people into the comics and I
applaud MacFarlane's successful but risky move into toys. Hated the comic. Picked these up around 2000. Amazingly ambitious set of knock off's. 'Hero Reborn' is the name and the paint work is fantastic. Note the Violator figure being forced into a human shaped body. Gold.

Ah...the first toy I bought with the intention of keeping sealed. 1998 in Belfast. Not a knock off but highly original. Tiny little intricate robots about a centremetre high. You press in the button and the front opens up and a claw comes out. Great graphics on the packaging.
